A Complete Medical Travel Experience in Tehran
A firsthand story of a patient’s medical journey in Tehran, narrated by our translator—from arrival to recovery and a dream body experience.
Hello dear followers and patients of Tehran Beauty Clinic, my name is Giti and
I’ve been working at TBC as an English/French translator for a year now. Today I
want to share our new patient’s history of events from the day she left her home
with a dream body in her mind until the last day that she came back to her family
happy and satisfied, with her dream came through.
The journey began with thorough research and planning. The patient consulted
with the doctor to get the best recommendation based on her expectations and her
physical anatomy. Next, after signing her contract, the clinic planned everything
from buying the round-trip flight tickets, travel insurance and booking the hotel
room and hospital to arranging for a 24/7 translator that would be with her every
step of the way. When the day of her arrival came, me as the translator and our
driver warmly welcomed her in Imam Khomeini airport at Tehran and we all went
to the hotel to rest for the night. The next morning, we visited the doctor’s office
for one last detailed check-up to make sure that everything will happen based on
her desires and of course in the safest and most comfortable way.
The early morning of her surgery, we left the hotel for the hospital. There, she
peacefully admitted waited in her VIP room for the doctor and in no time, she was
in the operating room, explaining to the doctor one last time what are her body
goals. I sat there translating and watching her go to sleep as the surgical team
started their work with such skill and calmness. When her surgery was over and
she was sent back from recovery unit to her room, I started by making sure she gets
the best medical attention from the nurses and care-givers in the hospital. After
some time, she felt much better and she started to eat, talk and walk and she felt
stronger every hour. I stayed at the hospital with her the night of her surgery,
checking her vital signs and helping her gain back her strength. The next day, we
left the hospital and came back to the hotel with our driver to start her recovery
journey. Although she was still in pain, it was manageable with painkillers and she
started her daily walk from her return to the hotel. The hotel is located in one of the
best locations of Tehran, with beautiful indoor and outdoor decor and equipment.
Our professional nurses came to check up and take care of our patient twice a day
so she was receiving permanent medical care and I provided her with nutritious
meals, a clean and relaxing environment and accompanied her in her daily walk.
Her recovering progress was shared with the doctor everyday to make sure that
everything was perfect. Everybody in this journey, including the hospital and hotel
staff, nurses, doctors and myself (the translator) tried our best to give our patient
the best medical experience ever and to help her get through the recovering phase into her routine life. As the result, she recovered very well and she was very patient
and cooperative with us. The day before her departure, we went to the doctor’s
office for the last appointment. The doctor explained the post-surgery care
procedures to her and verified that she is ready to go back home. With clearance
from the surgeon, the patient enjoyed light activities such as visiting local markets
and bazars. I ensured that all activities were manageable and aligned with the
patient's recovery needs. The final day, we packed our bags and checked out of the
hotel. Our driver dropped us at the airport and I made sure she gets through her
flight gate with no problem at all. We said goodbye and she left Tehran to go back
to her same life but with a new dream body.
As we were talking for the last time in person, she expressed how happy and
satisfied she was with her surgery results and how everyone in our team treated her
with respect and kindness. Her appreciation of our professionalism and trust in us,
